We all know it: there are those (summer) days when a heavy titanium framelock folder is just too much. Maybe you’re also a fan of classic pocket knives, but sometimes you don’t feel like a heavy rattle with massive nickel silver bolsters. Böker have once again turned their attention to their popular Barlow Slipjoint and hit a bull’s eye: the Barlow Integral.

At 30 grams, this knife is so incredibly light that you practically can’t feel it in your pocket. The reason for this can be found in the basic construction: instead of plates made of nickel silver, steel or brass, liners made of G10 are used here. At the same time, the bolsters are also made of G10, which again reduces the weight. Nevertheless, you don’t have to make any sacrifices in terms of stability with this knife – the fiberglass-reinforced G10 is incredibly robust and almost indestructible. On top of the liners you will find handle scales made of brown burlap micarta, which ensure a classic appearance in your EDC.

The pike blade is made of ice-hardened N690 steel from Böhler, which Böker have perfected in its hardening. This alloy is very little susceptible to rust so you can work with food without any problems. The back spring, which is also stainless, provides a super crisp blade action that keeps the blade secure when open despite the lack of a lock. The two-handed opening makes the knife legal to carry in Germany.

With the Barlow Integral you get a classic pocket knife that has an old school look, but is handmade in Solingen with modern materials and the highest standards.
