The stag beetle
is a charismatic beetle, which is mainly found in Central Europe. It is also called the giant of the beetle world.
Today it is rather rare to find in the wild and therefore needs special protection.
When stag beetles dig themselves out of the ground in June, they have only a few weeks of life left.
In this short time, you must provide for a beetle generation.
The stag beetle can grow up to 9 cm (3.54″) in size. The males have huge, large “antlers” with which they fight with each other.

The winner of the fight may then mate with the female.

The Bottle opener is a tribute to every beetle out there but especially the fascinating stag beetle. He’s 7.5 cm tall, so he should be pretty much the same size as a real stag beetle. With his antlers, you can fight the crown cap.
