The Le Francais is locked by a reliable liner lock that you can easily unlock. The knife can be opened effortlessly with both hands using the nail hammer. The tapered blade is great for precise work, while the factory honed edge on roughened buffalo hide has an impressive sharpness. The Sandvik 19C27 steel used is rust resistant and therefore harmless when handling food.
